Quality Technologist/2nd shift

The Quality Technologist is charged with the responsibility for ensuring all plans, methods, and controls are in place to repeatedly produce products to our customers’ needs.  The Quality Technologist is instrumental in engineering quality into process plans, manufacturing operations, the supply chain, and investigating when system failures occur.  This job description is intended to be an overview of primary responsibilities for this position.

Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the Quality Technologist is to manage the quality assurance, non-conformance, and corrective action processes. This position provides expert risk analysis skills for quality assurance and expert problem solving skills regarding customer, supplier, and manufacturing quality issues.

Job Demands and Expectations

Quality Technologists are expected to work independently managing time and priorities accordingly, able to effectively communicate with external and internal customers, work efficiently and effectively in a face paced manufacturing environment, and be available to work extended hours and weekends if necessary.

Qualifications and Competencies

To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess excellent interpersonal and documentation, skills, be able to produce coherent written documents, maintain an optimistic and supportive attitude; and maintain the strictest confidence regarding all issues and information regarding the company’s operations, its employee, financial matters, and personal matters of which the employee may become aware in the course of their work. The individual will also maintain competency with the following programs and equipment:

  • Microsoft Office Products
  • Plex Manufacturing Operations System
  • Minitab (or statistical sampling equivalent software)
  •  ISO Standards
  • Romer Arm or CMM equivalent training
  • Power Inspect or equivalent software
  • Solid Works or equivalent software


Minimum of Associates Degree in Engineering Technology or Quality Technician Certificate preferred

Green Belt Six Sigma Certification preferred


Minimum of 5 years of experience with quality in a manufacturing environment (preferred).

Salary/Wages and Benefits

Salary depending on experience.
